Degen Insider Is Brought To You By Menace.com Crypto Sportsbook & Casino

Sup fellow degens,

I see degens every day trying to find an edge. They count cards like quants, and they buy "systems" from guys on Telegram who live in their mom's basement.

But there is one rule that overrides every strategy, every superstition, and every lucky charm you have: if you are banned, you are legally donating.

A story blew up on the Am I The A**hole Reddit. That is the subreddit for people to clear their conscience. It involves a sister, a jackpot, and a felony in the making.

The community's comments were ruthless, but they restored my faith in humanity.

A ghost degen rubs off on all of us the wrong way.

The "Ghost" Gambler

We have a woman; let’s call her "Degen Sis."

Degen Sis is a degenerate. She is also 86’d (banned for life) from her local casino.

No, sis, you aren’t.

Usually, when you get banned, you go play online or drive to the next state. But Degen Sis sneaks back in.

She hits a massive jackpot.

The problem is that she cannot claim the prize. To collect a jackpot of that size, the casino requires a valid photo ID to process the paperwork for the IRS. Degen Sis knows that if she hands over her ID, the casino will immediately identify her as a banned patron, confiscate the winnings, and likely have her arrested for trespassing.

The "Genius" Plan she comes up with is to call her sister ("Non-degen Sis") and say: "Get down here. Pretend to be me. Claim this jackpot, and I’ll give you a cut."

The Community Roast

Non-degen Sis said no.

But the internet had some thoughts, and they perfectly explain why this was the worst gamble of all time.

1. A Donor Degen

User SnakeJG dropped the hardest truth in the thread:

"It's amazing, OOP's sister is risking all the money gambling while not having any way to actually win money. Like, even less than normal gamblers."

The math is ridiculous.

Normal degens play against a 5% House Edge.

Degen Sis was playing against a 100% House Edge.

If she lost, the casino kept the money.

If she won, the casino kept the money (because she was trespassing).

She was literally lighting cash on fire for the privilege of watching flashing lights. That is a level of degen I almost respect.

2. Surveillance Reality Check

User Tee-RoyJenkins (who claims to work surveillance) shut down the "Ocean's 11" fantasy:

"Casino's take this sort of thing seriously... If OOP had tried to claim, she wouldn't have matched the photo and started a whole other can of worms. This happens more often than you'd think."

People think casinos are just dive bars with slots. Casinos are high-tech data fortresses. They have 4K cameras that can zoom in on the expiration date of your driver's license from the ceiling.

If "Sister A" plays for 4 hours and "Sister B" walks in to claim the win? BUSTED.

3. Tax Bill Rug Pull:

Another commenter noted that a tax fraud could be underway:

"OP, had she claimed it, could easily be responsible for a massive tax bill. And I doubt the sister would've paid the taxes on it."

Degen Sister spends the cash on a new car, debts, and slots within a week. Six months later, Non-degen Sis gets a letter from the IRS demanding $20,000.

Good luck explaining to the Feds that it wasn't actually your money without admitting to federal wire fraud.

Literal Suicide

Non-degen Sis didn't just refuse; she called the casino and police to report the identity theft.

That is how you shield yourself.

There is no degen lesson to this.

There is a difference between "High Risk" and "Suicide."

  • High Risk: All-in on Red.

  • Suicide: Trying to hustle a billion-dollar corporation on their own floor, under their cameras, while you are legally banned from being there.

If you are banned, take the L.

Do not try to outsmart a physical security team with all the necessary architecture.

If you try to pull a switcheroo on a casino floor in 2025, you aren't gambling. This isn’t Parent Trap, you're just auditioning for a mugshot.

TL;DR: A woman banned from a casino sneaks in, hits a jackpot, then can’t claim it without getting arrested. She asks her sister to impersonate her and cash out. Sister refuses. Reddit points out the obvious: banned gamblers play with a 100% house edge, casinos will catch the switch instantly, and the “helper” would face tax fraud and felonies.

Stay degen,

Dima

Who is Menace Dima?

Look, I could bore you with my "professional bio" – you know, the whole "20+ years in the gambling industry" spiel, the $100M+ portfolio, or how I've had my fingers in every gambling pie from affiliate marketing to running major operators.

But here's what you really need to know: I'm the guy who's probably lost (and won) more money than most, has the wildest degen stories you've never heard, and still can't resist a good bet. Whether it's dropping stacks on MMA fights, grinding poker until sunrise, or testing every new casino game that hits the market – I've done it all, and I'm still doing it.

These days, I'm repping Menace.com (yeah, that name goes hard) as their ambassador, but more importantly, I'm here to be your inside man. The guy who's seen the industry from every angle – from boardroom to bathroom floor – and lived to tell the tales.

Stick around if you want gambling content that isn't just another boring guy in a suit telling you about odds. This is about to get interesting.
